John loved the Les Cheneaux Islands and spending time at the Les Cheneaux Yacht Club where he served as Commodore from 2000 to 2002. His leadership and vision were pivotal in recruiting younger members to lead the Yacht Club and continue to grow yachting and sailing in the Les Cheneaux Islands. John and his wife Rosemary were and are well regarded yacht club members and frequent attendees at club events, often with their extended family-all four generations of them! The Foundation will utilize these funds to carry on John and Rosemary’s legacy and help ensure the Yacht Club has the resources to maintain its sailing facilities and further develop access to the water for sailors and boaters of all ages.
